THE OBJECTIVES OF BETI VIKAS MISSION

1. The provide Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary education to poor girls.
2. To provide educational opportunities and support to school drop – our girls through the National Open School.
3. To provide the poor girl children with uniforms, books, fees and other educational material so as to enable them complete basic education.
4. To provide opportunities through educational sponsorship programme for those who so desire to pursue higher careers and appear for competitive examinations.
5. To provide the necessary care and protection, for the orphan, the needy and homeless girl children in our boarding schools.
6. To provide assistance to needy girls for vocational Training and courses related to Nursing, Home Science, Fashion Designing, Teacher training, and Computer Training etc.
7. To promote culture, sports and talent development programmes and organize competitions and other events for national, International days and other festivals.
8. To provide hostel facilities for working girls.
9. To initiate Career Guidance and contact Centres for Counseling services and job assistance.

Our Journey so far

EDUCATION:
• Sponsorship:
The Educational Sponsorship Programme is one of the important welfare projects carries out in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and the districts of Thane, Pune and Ahmednagar. Uddhar Vikas Sanstha provided financial assistance to deserving students for studies. The fees of 120 students were paid for.

• Computer Literacy:
Students in Sangamner and Pune availed of MSCIT and other computer literacy training programmes to enable them secure employment.

• Adoption of Anganwadi :
Our staff conducted a survey in the rural areas of Maharashtra and identified an anganwadi in Rahuri which lacked basic requirements and other educational facilities. Uddhar Vikas Sanstha has now begun supporting this aganwadi to improve facilities.

• Education Support material:
Education support material like text books and exercise books, uniforms shoes and bags are provided for students who come from economically challenged backgrounds.

• Counselling:
A Councellor was provided in one centre to assist children with learning disabilities and help in remedial teaching.

• Vocational Training:
Financial assistance was provided to two students to do their MSW (Masters in Social Work) and TTC (Trained Teachers’ Certificate).

• Financial Designing:
Young girls are provided opportunities to learn fashion designing so as to provide them with the necessary skills.

HEALTH CARE:

• Health Check – up Camps for children and women were carried out in Sangamner.
• Medical Assistance to a patient suffering from MS (Mutiple Schlerosis).
• Swach Bharat Abhiyan : In response to the Swach Bharat Abhiyan Uddhar Vikas Sanstha responded by providing financial support for the construction of community toilets in Ahmednagar
• Feeding Programme Snacks, mid-day meals and eggs are provided at various locations.

SOCIAL WELFARE:
• Celebrations:
Culture programme were held on the occasion of Diwali, Christmas and Children’s Day to educate and enterain children ant to instill the values of communal harmony

• Women Empowerment:
Health and hygiene awareness programmes were conducted in Kendal.

• Other Programmes:
Personality Development, life skills development, social legal education, awareness of government schemes, training programme in mandal management and communication skills were organized in Jhorve Road, Shrirampur, Sakur, Chandanpuri etc. in the Ahmednagar district.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:
• Food and Nutrition:
Food and nutrition programmes were held in various locations on a daily basis to make sure that children are provided with healthy foor.

• Ration Support:
Ration support to needy families were distributed on the occasion of National festivals.

• Women’s Empowerment:
Health and hygiene, personality development, government schemes and other programmes are conducted to conscientise women and bring about awareness.

• International Women’s Day:
Women’s Day was observed to empower women and educate them of their rights.

• Feeding Programme:
Nutritous meals are provided to children at various locations.

PROVIDING EMERGENCY RELIEF:
• Uddhar Vikas Sanstha responded to appeal for humanitarian aid at the time of floods that devastated Chennai.
